Sales Manager – Laser Welding & Cleaning Machinery

AMJ Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Sales Manager (Laser Welding & Cleaning Machinery) to join a long-established and successful client based in Coventry.

Location: Coventry, CV2 – Hybrid Working Available
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 (negotiable depending on experience) + Commission + Car Allowance
Hours: Day Shift, Monday to Friday
Job Type: Permanent

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the sales strategy for a growing range of Laser Welding & Cleaning Machinery, developing new business across the UK and Europe.

The role is based from the company’s Coventry CV2 site, with the complete flexibility to work on a hybrid basis from home.

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth within the company’s developing laser technology division. Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and implement a sales strategy for laser welding and cleaning machinery.
• Generate new business and develop relationships with customers across the industrial, automotive and medical sectors.
• Manage and develop a sales territory covering the UK and European markets.
• Support Sales Associates with lead generation, customer meetings and closing new business.
• Meet customers to understand their production processes and identify suitable machinery solutions.
• Work closely with the Engineering Team to understand machine technology, applications and capabilities.
• Prepare customer product samples and arrange welding trials.
• Deliver live demonstrations of laser welding machinery to prospective customers.
• Sell associated welding equipment, including welding helmets, fume extraction equipment and protective clothing.
• Handle customer enquiries and establish technical and commercial requirements.
• Prepare quotations and follow opportunities through to completion.
• Maintain accurate sales and quotation records using CRM systems.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding samples, approvals and product developments.
• Attend exhibitions, trade shows and customer events.
• Produce regular reports on sales activity, opportunities and pipeline.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced within technical, engineering, machinery or industrial sales.
• Commercially driven with a strong new-business mentality.
• Confident dealing with customers and delivering technical presentations.
• Technically minded and comfortable learning new machinery and technologies.
• Able to build strong, long-term customer and supplier relationships.
• Confident using CRM systems, Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Flexible and comfortable travelling to customers when required.
• A full UK driving licence holder.

Experience within welding, laser technology, manufacturing machinery or engineering equipment sales would be particularly advantageous.
